Northern Lights Clubhouse is a community of adults recovering from and living with mental illness, working together to reduce isolation and improve overall health and wellbeing for Clubhouse and community members.
Our clubhouse is a healing and mentoring environment for persons who have had their lives disrupted by mental illness and need the support of others who believe that recovery is possible.
The heart of the Northern Lights Clubhouse is structured activities offering opportunities to develop skills, pursue interests, and engage with other members and staff. These activities can include cooking and baking, yoga and meditation, art projects, group discussions, community education initiatives, and more. The Clubhouse is unique in that participants are members and the focus is on strengths and successes.
There is no specific diagnosis, doctors referral, or assessment necessary to be part of our community. Anyone who is facing mental illness, life challenges, stress, or isolation is welcome to become a member.
Members and staff work side-by-side, as colleagues, in an atmosphere of mutual caring and respect, performing a wide variety of tasks necessary to the operation of the organization from cleaning to grant-writing.
ANYONE is welcome to join us in building meaningful community.

Coffee Club - 8:30 am on Thursday mornings. Meet at Brainstorm Bakery (BSB aka Crapola!) A chance to gather outside of Clubhouse and socialize over a tasty cup of whatever! BTW; the baked goods are amazing!
Lunches at Clubhouse - 12:00 noon on Wednesdays. We have lunch together every Wednesday. March features Subway, Domino's, a nod to St. Paddy's Day with grilled Reubens and Irish Veggie soup on the 15th, Insula and Taco Salad. Everyone is welcome, just be sure to call the Clubhouse ahead of time so we can make sure to have enough! (218-235-9539)
WBD Marketing Strategic Planning - Happening at Clubhouse on Wed & Thur, 8/8 and 8/9 from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
Meditation Group - Tuesdays 2/28, 3/14 & 3/28 at 1 pm - In March we're going to take a look at Mantras - what are they and how they can be used. Meditation practice has been shown to help with lots of issues and is NOT a religious practice in any way.
Mindful Movement - Tuesdays 3/7 & 3/21 at 1 pm. In addition to our regular singing bowl and such we are continuing to study and practice Tai Ji Quan and Tai Chi movements.
Book Club - Thursdays 3/9 & 3/23 at 1:30 pm. We're working our way through "The Four Agreements" and "The Four Agreements Companion Book". We are reading and discussing together in real time.
Open Art Studio - Thursdays 3/2, 3/16 & 3/30 - All day! We're making Dreamcatchers on the 2nd and working on inventory for Farmers Market this summer - but you can bring your favorite media and do your own thing!!
