Northern Lights Clubhouse is a place where adults with mental health challenges have the opportunity to make and reach personal goals through meaningful work. Our clubhouse is a healing and mentoring environment for persons who have had their lives disrupted by mental illness and need the support of others who believe that recovery is possible.
The heart of the Northern Lights Clubhouse is structured, meaningful activity offering opportunities to develop skills, pursue interests, and engage with other members and staff. The Clubhouse is unique in that participants are members and the focus is on strengths and successes. Members and staff work side-by-side, as colleagues, in an atmosphere of mutual caring and respect, performing a wide variety of tasks necessary to the operation of the organization.
"The Losses and Laughter We Grow Into" - this is the theme for the St. Louis Cty. Health & Human Services Conference to be held at the DECC in Duluth, MN on Oct. 13th and 14th. NLC will present a workshop on Thursday, Oct. 13th from 3-4:30 pm in the Chester Creek Rm. titled "When Patients Become Colleagues; The Clubhouse Model of Psychosocial Rehabilitation". SOCIAL!! To be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26th...A Potluck Supper with our NLC/WBD Board members! 4-6 pm at the Clubhouse. Bring a dish and come hang out with us...then, if you like, stick around for the monthly Board meeting to follow from 6-8 pm. Call the CH if you have any questions.
