Northern Lights Clubhouse is a place where adults with mental health challenges have the opportunity to make and reach personal goals through meaningful work. Our clubhouse is a healing and mentoring environment for persons who have had their lives disrupted by mental illness and need the support of others who believe that recovery is possible.
The heart of the Northern Lights Clubhouse is structured, meaningful activity offering opportunities to develop skills, pursue interests, and engage with other members and staff. The Clubhouse is unique in that participants are members and the focus is on strengths and successes. Members and staff work side-by-side, as colleagues, in an atmosphere of mutual caring and respect, performing a wide variety of tasks necessary to the operation of the organization.
February Coffee Club: Tuesdays @ 8:30 am; Northern Grounds Coffeehouse, corner of Central & Sheridan. The "Grounds" is back and better than ever...come have a cuppa with us!!
THIS WEEK: Feb 21-24: We'll be finishing up the March Planning and doing the montly Mail Out... Many hands make light work! Also, check out the menus: Tue - Hungarian Mushroom Soup (as served at Organic Roots Bistro!), Wed: Chicken and Cheese Burritos and member Mary R. is treating us to her famous Philly Cheesesteaks next Thursday...come help with the folding and the stamping and enjoy a Great Lunch!
Speaking of New Plans for a New Year: Save the date and plan to attend the annual Strategic Planning Meeting for 2017; Friday, February 24th from 1:30-5:30 pm at the Pioneer Apts Community Room...Get involved! All members are welcome to jump in (or out) at any point and this is a great opportunity to shape your Clubhouse. (Potluck Yummies to be available!)
